Samson Zoom Q3HD Full HD pocket camera

Samson is offering a new portable camcorder, that is capable to record 1080p Full HD video in H.264 format and packs two condenser mics configured in a wide 120° X/Y pattern,  making your movies sound as if they “were recorded on a Hollywood soundstage.”


The pocket camcorder boasts five-megapixel CMOS sensor and allows 4x digital zoom. The condenser microphones can record 24-bit, 96kHz audio and the Q3HD also displays audio meters, allowing you to quickly monitor and set your levels. The recorder also has a 2.4-inch (320 x 240) display and icon-based user interface, a USB port for convenient download of the captured moments, HDMI and built-in reference speaker.

Looxcie launches Bluetooth wearable camcorder

Looxcie (look-see) wearable camcorder, is like a Bluetooth headset, but is capable to capture and share video clips. You just simply clip it on your ear and then you’ll able to record  what you see.


It weights less than 28g and can store up to 4 hrs of 640×240 /15 FPS  videos. The Looxcie utilizes a dual processor system for video and Bluetooth communication, allowing  the headset to operate in video mode and talk mode simultaneously, or separately. It also feature DSP noise reduction for clear audio, has a a480mAh Li Po battery and the camcorder’s mini video processor includes software, that optimizes power use, automatically corrects for light and color, and formats video for mobile devices. The Looxcie comes with a smartphone application, which allows you to use the phone as viewfinder, remote control and editing tool for creating clips up to 30 minutes in length. It also allows to configure an Instant Share recipient, so when you “long-press” the instant clip button, Looxcie will automatically sends the clip to the pre-determined email address.

Samsung Galaxy Android powered Players announced

Samsung has announced a new addition to its Galaxy lineup mobile devices, but this time not a new phones, but portable media players, called Galaxy Players. The pocket device are based on Android OS and are available in 4-inch and 5-inch models (both with 480 x 800 pixels) which make them ideal for games, music, videos, social media and e-books.
Both devices are packed with stereo speakers with Virtual 5.1 surround sound, microphone, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, front and rear cameras (including flash on the 5” model) for videoconferencing or photography, support Adobe Flash 10.1 and comes with wide range of usable features like: Skype, Qik applications for VoIP calls over a WiFi, apps for Facebook, Twitter and of course thousands other apps and games from the Android Marketplace. They run Android 2.2 (Froyo) and will be upgradeable to version 2.3 (Gingerbread).

The Galaxy Players support multiple media formats, such as DivX, Xvid, WMV, MPEG4 and H.264, MP3, WMA, AAC, Ogg, and Flac and have 8 GB on-board memory and a microSD slot, for an extra 32GB of storage for your favorite songs, pictures and videos. They are DLNA Certified and support AllShare, allowing you to stream content to and from a PC or television without wires anywhere in the home.

BenQ reveals Benq 42-5000 and 46-5000 LCD TVs

BenQ extends it lineup of LCD TV with two new models – the 42-inch V42-5000 and 46-inch V46-5000 models. Both TV’s boast 1080p Full HD resolution, Senseye Technology, and 24p Real Cinema Mode.
The LCD TVs feature a clean, simple design with a pair of 10W “invisible speakers”, which are located beneath the screen, hidden from view. The TV’s  have a contrast ratios of 5,000:1(V42-5000) and 6,000:1(V46-5000), feature BenQ’s own Senseye Human Vision Technology – a proprietary image enhancement engine that mimics the human eye and “enhances the color, clarity and contrast of video contents and smoothes out quick images through motion optimization to produce fuller, richer and more detailed images”. They also come with 24P Real Cinema mode, which adds duplicate frames to reduce unnatural artifacts when you play 24P encoded content through HDMI.

LG to present 47WV30 LED TV with super thin bezel

LG Electronics will introduce its latest creation,  the 47-inch LED display with super narrow bezel at ISE 2011 in Amsterdam.
The 47WV30 display boasts 1366×768 resolution 700cd/m^2 brightness, 1500:1 contrast ratio and utilize LED BLU technology . Its seam size is just 6.9 mm which allows it to be connected almost seamlessly with other displays for more expansive picture. LG also said that the new monitor can display “crystal clear images outdoors”, even in brightness as high as 4,000 lux, has low energy use and low maintenance costs, makes it “the perfect video wall solution”

ISE 2011 will run from February 1 to 3 at the Amsterdam RAI in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Philips reveals Cinema 21:9 Gold Series HDTV

Philips expands its ultra wide HDTV family with the new Cinema 21:9 Gold Series which offers a comfortable 3D viewing  and “will make every night a premiere at home.”
The new 50-inch Cinema 21:9 Gold series feature Full HD LED, 100Hz and Philips’ powerful Pixel Precise HD picture processing engine, response time of only 2ms, along with integrated Wi-Fi, USB recording and two-sided Ambilight Spectra 2. The 21:9 aspect ratio TV display movies in their authentic format and present them without black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. The TV features advanced 3D polarized screen and brings 3D world  into your  home using passive 3D glasses. Other feature included is the real-time 2D to 3D conversion, that Philips explains – “your entire movie collection – even old black-and-white classics – can seamlessly jump from the screen.” The 3D depth can be adjusted, so you can choose the image depth that suits the on-screen content or your personal preference.

The Cinema 21:9 Gold series feature Philips’ Smart TV services that provides easy access to the internet, will allow you to check what’s going on Facebook and Twitter, as well streaming music, photos and videos from your tablet, smart phone or laptop, plus online movie rentals and also will let you control your TV using your smart phone or tablet. Other feature is the Multiview that allows comfortable viewing of multiple content sources at once so you can watch a TV program and keep up with the latest sports results via Net TV. For the gamers Philips integratse a special 3D gaming mode which allows each player simultaneously sees his or her view expand to fill the entire TV screen.

Sharp AQUOS Quattron LE830 Series TV models now available

Sharp has released their AQUOS Quattron LE830 Series HDTV which features company’s edge-lit LED X-Gen LCD panels and Quattron Quad Pixel Technology(adds dedicated yellow sub-pixel), have integrated WiFi, DLNA support and offering CinemaNow, Netflix and VUDU streaming. The series is available in four in four screen size, 40-, 46-, 52- and 60-inches.
According to Sharp Quad Pixel Plus tech enables the reproduction of colors that have been difficult to portray using conventional LCD displays and allows more light to pass through to the panel. The HDTVs have slim and narrow bezel design and are equipped with four HDMI inputs for multiple connections.  The smaller, 40-inch model AQUOS Quattron LC-40LE830U will cost you $1,299.99, the 46-inch LC-46LE830U has an MSRP of $1,499.99, the 52-inch LC-52LE830U is offered for $1,899.99, and the biggest 60-inch LC-60LE830U has an MSRP of $2,799.99.
